Welcome to POINT-VEG.
This is a (under construction) web portal to integrate information about vegetation.
The main goal of POINT-VEG is to facilitate access to vegetation data (like phytosociological relevés or other vegetation surveys) and to distribute useful information (such as flora or vegetation checklists, vegetation classifications, but also bioclimatological and edaphic data sets).
One relevant feature of POINT-VEG is that the data and information that this portal integrates are usable by open-source tools developed in R language. The portal discloses several R packages (which are under continuous development) that were devised specifically to analyse vegetation data, within the geobotanical tradition.
